Multi-level Marketing and how to spot a scam

Published by not4ureyes2c at 3:03 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

What is multi-level marketing? (Also known as MLM)

Multi-level marketing is when a product is sold through direct selling, referrals or distributors instead of in a market. The distributor makes money off of each sale or new distributor they sign up. Multi-level marketing IS different from a pyramid scheme and here is a site that explains why:

It can be difficult to decipher the difference from a pyramid scheme and multi-level marketing company. One way I can tell if a company is legit or not is by typing in the name of the company into any search engine. (Google, yahoo, altavista)  I type the name of the company I’m looking into and then type the word “scam” after it. The search engine will bring up all kinds of pages, usually blogs, from others who’ve tried the company and what their experience with them was like. I try and look through at least two of the pages before making a decision. If the two pages I looked into have different views then I continue looking and reading. I don’t look at the pages that look like they’re trying to sell the product; like if they have the name of the product in the address itself. (Example: If I’m looking into MonaVie. I go to www.altavista.com and type in the search bar “monavie scam” and the fourth site down says in blue “Monavie: is monavie a scam” when I click on it, it gives me a quick blurp about monavie but isn’t very helpful. The next one down says “Monavie scam” and the writer goes into talk about what monavie is and why he thinks it’s a scam. Going back to the altavista page and going to the link right below that last one is the site labled “Monavie| scam types dot com” and the writer goes into detail about what is in monavie, and gives some pro’s and con’s about the product. ) Doing a quick search like this can save you a big headache in the future. I’ve read that some companies, if you do not read the fine print, say that they are free or will only charge you one dollar up front, but the fine print says that they will continue to take out 75 dollars each month until you cancel their membership. Sometimes I’ve found that the company was nearly impossible to cancel the membership with; they’d never answer their calls or emails and continued to take your money and you wouldn’t get anything in return.

A useful site to look into is www.scamxposer.com because the administrator has tried many different work at home sites and writes his reviews about them. He also gives good reviews so you can find some legit work at home sites along with the scams. I will post jobs I find to help you out as well so look for those to come.
